Morgan Times began with a question about names, and has since asked who institutions wound, who eats at the table, and who is left holding the bill. This thread asks a different question: who gets to lead — and what we lose by handing the keys, again and again, to the same kind of person.
Inclusivity is a word everyone uses and few will define. Here it means something specific: that what you have in your pants, the color of your skin, or the shape of your life does not decide what you are worth or how far you go. The icon of the old order was the man who takes his martini shaken, not stirred — smooth, solo, certain. We are done with him. We want more color, more women in charge, and a great deal less ego.
The style this thread is after is not the strongman’s. It is the leader who outlasts a room full of men who underestimated her — grace and patience as power, results over ego, the adult in a kindergarten of little egos. We have seen it work. We want more of it.
Dispatches I’m seeking for this thread:
- From the led-past. You watched a job, a promotion, a podium go to someone less able because of what you are, not what you can do. What did it cost — and what did you do next?
- From the ones in charge. You lead, and you do it differently. What does power look like without the ego — and what does it take to hold it?
- From the revolution. You’re building a more inclusive country, company, or corner of the world — not as a slogan but in practice. Show us what actually changes.
